Experienced scheduling

The right match starts with the right questions

Able schedulers understand that interpreter selection involves more than matching a language. They review the setting, purpose, format, qualifications, timing and practical requirements so the interpreter is prepared for the assignment.

From an early morning appointment to an evening hearing, a single booking or a program with many dates, our team plans for dependable coverage and fluid communication.

Qualifications suited to the assignment

Different settings call for different interpreter qualifications

Interpreter credentials and requirements vary by province, court, tribunal, institution, language and type of appointment. Able reviews the requirements provided by the client and selects from interpreters whose qualifications and experience are suited to the request.

COURT

Legal and court qualifications

Where required, scheduling considers court or tribunal accreditation, authorization, legal terminology experience and familiarity with courtroom procedure.

COMMUNITY

Community and healthcare training

Assignments may call for recognized interpreter education, language proficiency assessment, healthcare or community experience, privacy awareness and sector terminology.

ASSIGNMENT

Client specific requirements

Some settings require security screening, orientation, specialized subject knowledge or compliance with the institution’s own interpreter standards.

Tell us what your setting requires. Credentials are confirmed for the individual assignment. Availability depends on the requested language, location, date and qualification requirements.

Single appointments and complete programs

Coordination built around your schedule

A request may involve one appointment on a specific day or a continuing program with many participants, locations and dates. Our scheduling team can plan the assignment structure, maintain clear booking records and work toward interpreter continuity where it benefits the program.

Discuss your schedule

One scheduled appointment

Share the language, setting, location, date, start time and expected duration.

Several appointments

Provide the schedule so our team can coordinate coverage and identify any overlapping requirements.

Recurring programs

We can plan for regular dates, continuity, backup coverage and changes as the program develops.

Extended or complex assignments

Longer sessions may require breaks, multiple interpreters or additional planning based on the format and setting.

§14Language access and the Canadian CharterSection 14 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms recognizes that a party or witness in proceedings who cannot understand or speak the language being used “has the right to the assistance of an interpreter.”This constitutional protection concerns parties and witnesses in proceedings. The Department of Justice explains that the right is connected to linguistic understanding and fairness and may apply in criminal, civil and administrative proceedings, subject to the legal context.
